Describe the enviroment during recording
Note how many people are present
----------------------------------------------------
Estimate the size of the room in feet
----------------------------------------------------
Numbers refer to percentage of sound absorbed
0 - Very reflective 1- Very absorbant
Wall in D5 - 0.00 - Not a good recording enviroment
Huge corridor - Roughly 40 foot wide 15 foot tall
Table in D5 - 0.10 - Not a good recording enviroment
Small classroom - roughly 15 foot
Sponge material notice board - 0.70 - A fairly good recording enviroment
Wooden door in Main Henley Block - 0.10 - Not a good recording enviroment
Sponge chair in a empty classroom - 0.50 - An average recording enviroment but not good enough for proffesional standard work.
Surface areas in a classroom
Surface area of all four of the walls - 240 Square foot
Brick wall with paint over
10.2 @ 1KHZ
8.5 * 24 = 204 * 0.05 = 10.2
Surface area of the floor
100.8 @ 1KHZ
Glass wall
7.14 @ 1KHZ
8.5 * 28 = 238 * 0.03 = 7.14
Ceiling
135 @1KHZ
